AMOS –

This keepsake edition of The Book of Amos was taken from the King James translation of the Bible. The King James Translation is a masterwork of style, and the most important book in the English language, it  has been the driving force in shaping the English-speaking world for hundreds of years.

Amos lived in the kingdom of Judah but preached in the northern kingdom of Israel. His major themes of social justice, God's omnipotence, and divine judgment became staples of prophecy. The prophet denounces the crimes against humanity committed by the gentile nations, tells Israel that even they have sinned and are guilty of the same crimes, and reports five symbolic visions prophesying the destruction of Israel.
